Terms of Service
Effective 12 September 2026 · Last updated 12 October 2026
These terms cover your use of Parejo at https://parejo.pickline.app, which is operated by the sole proprietor identified in the contact section at the end of this page. They are meant to be short and fair: Parejo is a small app run by one person, and these terms try to describe that honestly rather than to posture.
By creating an account and using Parejo, you agree to what is written here.
Parejo has a free plan and three paid ones. If you are about to buy, the sections on plans, on paying and renewal, and on refunds are the ones to read.
What Parejo is
Parejo is a tool for sharing expenses. You create a group, record what was spent and who paid, and Parejo works out the balances and what it would take to settle up. It can handle expenses in more than one currency.
It is a bookkeeping aid. It is not an accounting, tax, legal or financial-advice service, and nothing it shows you is professional advice.
Parejo does not move money. It records what people say they spent and paid; settling up happens between you, by whatever means you use.
Who may use Parejo
You must be at least 13 years old to have an account. By creating one you confirm that you are, and that using Parejo is lawful where you live.
Parejo is not directed at children under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to one, we will delete it.
Your account
You need an account to use Parejo. We sign you in with codes sent to your email address, so keep that mailbox secure and never share a code, and tell us at support@parejo.pickline.app if you think someone else has got into your account.
You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for the accuracy of what you enter. Parejo will faithfully add up whatever numbers you give it; it cannot tell you that a number is wrong.
Acceptable use
Do not use Parejo for anything illegal, and do not upload illegal content.
Do not upload other people's personal information without their consent. A receipt can carry more than you expect: names, addresses, card details, a location.
Do not try to reach groups, expenses or files you are not a member of, and do not probe the service for ways to do so.
Do not abuse the service with automated traffic, bulk registration, or anything designed to degrade it for other people.
Groups are shared
Everything you add to a group — expenses, notes, and any receipts you attach — is visible to every member of that group. Add someone to a group only if you are comfortable with them seeing its contents, and think before you attach a receipt.
Every group has one owner: the person who created it, or whoever it has since passed to. Only the owner can rename a group, remove a member or delete it, and deleting a group deletes its expenses and receipts for everyone in it. Any member may leave at any time; an owner who leaves hands the group to its longest-standing remaining member rather than closing it, and an owner who is the last member must delete the group instead.
Only upload files you have the right to share.
Who owns what
Parejo — its design, its code and its branding — belongs to the operator. Using it gives you no rights in it beyond using it as these terms describe.
What you put into Parejo stays yours: your group names, your notes, the expenses you record and the receipts you upload. You give us only the permission we need in order to run the service for you — to store those files and show them to the members of the group you added them to, and to nobody else. We do not use what you upload for anything else, and we claim no ownership of it.
Currency conversion
When a group uses more than one currency, Parejo converts amounts using European Central Bank reference rates, obtained through the Frankfurter API.
These are reference rates, not dealing rates. They are given for information and will not match what a bank, a card issuer or an exchange bureau actually charges you. Do not treat a converted figure as the amount that really moved.
Plans and prices
There are four plans. Prices are in US dollars, charged once a year, and do not include sales tax, VAT or GST — Stripe adds those at checkout where they apply, so the amount you pay may be higher than the price listed here.
Free — $0. One group at a time, whether you created it or were invited to it, up to 2 people in it, no receipt storage, no CSV export and no analytics.
Plus — $9.99 a year. Up to 3 groups of your own, up to 5 people in each, 250 MB of receipt storage across all your groups, CSV export and analytics.
Pro — $29.99 a year. Up to 5 groups of your own, up to 10 people in each, 1 GB of receipt storage across all your groups, CSV export and analytics.
Family — $59.99 a year. Covers you and up to 5 other people, each on their own Parejo account. Each of you gets up to 5 groups of your own and up to 10 people in each, with CSV export and analytics; the 3 GB of receipt storage is a single pool shared by the whole household.
A fifth plan, Business, at $99.99 a year, is no longer sold. If your account is already on it, nothing changes: you keep it, you keep its 25 groups of your own, up to 50 people in each and 5 GB of receipt storage, and it renews as it always did until you cancel it. It is simply not offered to anyone new.
Parejo Business is a different thing, and not a plan on this list. It is for a company that handles its employees' expense claims: the company buys it, not a person, and it is charged for each person who uses it each month rather than once a year. It has its own terms, at https://parejo.pickline.app/business-terms. Nothing on this page sells it, and having a personal plan does not give you one.
How the limits are counted: on a paid plan only the groups you create count against your group limit, and there is no limit on the ones you are invited to. On Free the limit is different: it is one group at a time, created or joined alike, and leaving a group or having it deleted frees the place at once. An invitation you have no room for is kept, not lost, and takes effect as soon as you have room. The limit on people in a group is counted against the plan of that group's owner and includes invitations nobody has accepted yet. Receipt storage is counted per account, across every group you own, and against the owner of the group a receipt was added to — which is why one person on a paid plan unlocks receipts for their whole group. CSV export and analytics are counted on your own plan, even inside somebody else's paid group.
If a plan's limits change, an account already above a new limit keeps everything it has and is only stopped from adding more. Nothing of yours is ever deleted to make it fit.
A plan is on sale only where the app offers it: the Your plan page shows what you can actually buy today. On this website a purchase goes through Stripe; in the Parejo app for iPhone it is an App Store subscription billed by Apple, which renews yearly unless cancelled in your Apple Account's subscription settings at least 24 hours before the period ends. One account holds one plan, billed by one of the two.
Paying, renewal and cancellation
A paid plan is an annual subscription. It renews automatically each year, at the price in force at the time of renewal, until you cancel it.
Stripe is the merchant of record for the sale. You buy through Link, Stripe's checkout: Stripe takes the payment, is responsible for any sales tax, VAT or GST, sends your receipt and your renewal reminders, and its own payment terms are shown to you at checkout. Card statements read LINK.COM* PAREJO. Stripe may present the price in your own currency; what is charged is that currency's equivalent of the US dollar price, plus any tax.
You can cancel at any time, from Your plan in the app or at link.com. Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not refund the year you are in, and your plan keeps working until the term you have paid for ends.
Fourteen days after a paid term ends, the account drops to Free. Nothing of yours is deleted when that happens: you keep every group, expense and receipt you already have, even if they are beyond what Free allows, and you are simply prevented from adding more until you are on a paid plan again.
Discount codes apply only as issued and only at checkout.
Refunds and chargebacks
If something went wrong with a purchase, write to support@parejo.pickline.app and we will look at it.
Because Stripe is the merchant of record, Stripe can also refund a payment directly within 60 days of it, and may do so without our approval if a query from you goes unanswered for 48 hours. Where the law where you live gives you a cooling-off or withdrawal right, that right applies and nothing on this page removes it.
A full refund of your most recent payment cancels the subscription and ends the paid term immediately; the account then drops to Free after the same fourteen days. A partial refund, or a refund of an older payment, leaves the plan running.
Please raise a problem with us, or with Stripe, before asking your bank to reverse a charge. A chargeback costs more than the sale did — Stripe charges a fee whether the dispute is won or lost — and a chargeback that goes against us is treated exactly like a full refund: the subscription is cancelled and the plan ends. If you are the payer for a Family household, the people you cover keep their Family plan for the same fourteen days and then go back to their own plans.
Family households
A Family plan is one payment covering the person who pays and up to 5 other people, each on their own Parejo account. The payer invites people by email address and each of them has to accept: nobody is added to a household without accepting. Invitations expire after 7 days and each link works once.
A person belongs to at most one household at a time. Accepting a second invitation is refused rather than moving you, and someone who pays for a household cannot also be a member of somebody else's.
The payer pays for all of it. Members are not charged, are not party to the subscription, and cannot change or cancel it.
Anyone can leave a household at any time, and the payer can remove anyone from it. Either way that person goes back to their own plan immediately and keeps everything they have.
When the payer's Family plan ends — cancelled, lapsed, refunded, charged back or changed — everyone it covered goes back to their own plan. Nothing is deleted, and an account left above its own plan's limits keeps all of it and is only stopped from adding more. The household keeps its list of members, so subscribing again restores it.
Receipt storage on a Family plan is a single 3 GB pool for the whole household, the payer's own uploads included. A member whose own plan is better than Family uses their own storage instead of the pool.
Test purchases
Parejo can be switched between Stripe's test and live modes, which is how payment changes are tried out without money moving. A purchase made while Parejo is in test mode is not a purchase: no money is taken, no real subscription exists, and any plan it appears to grant is not one you have bought and will be removed. Only a purchase made in live mode, with a real card and a real receipt from Link, buys anything.
The service is provided as is
Parejo is offered as is, without warranty of any kind. We try to keep it running and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be available, or free of mistakes or interruptions.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our liability arising from your use of Parejo is limited. Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing here takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
Changes to the service
Parejo will change over time: features will arrive and others will go. We may also stop offering it, in which case we will give reasonable notice so you have time to write down anything you still need.
Suspension and removal
We may suspend or remove an account that abuses the service: illegal use, attempts to reach other people's data, or behaviour that degrades Parejo for everyone else.
Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.
Ending your use
You can stop using Parejo whenever you like. To delete your account and its data, go to Settings → Delete account in the app; if you own a group, delete it or hand it to another member first. Doing it there takes effect immediately. You can also write to support@parejo.pickline.app, and we will delete it within 30 days — except where the law requires us to keep something, or where a group you still own, or a subscription we need to reach Stripe to cancel, has to be cleared first.
If you have a paid plan, deleting your account cancels the subscription first, so that nothing is left renewing for an account that no longer exists. Deleting your account does not by itself refund the term you have already paid for.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone, other than the short backup window described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Continuing to use Parejo after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. A dispute between us that we cannot settle ourselves will be heard in the state or federal courts sitting in Florida.
If the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in the courts of the place you live, or to rely on the consumer protection rules there, the paragraph above does not take that right away from you.
Who operates Parejo, and how to reach us
Parejo is operated by a sole proprietor based in Florida, United States. Reach us at support@parejo.pickline.app.
That is the address for anything about these terms, or about Parejo in general.
For a question about a charge, a receipt or a refund, you can also reach Stripe, which took the payment and is the merchant of record for it.
